Mission Statement: to motivate young emerging fashion artists to develop their artistic ability.  To
learn more about themselves, build self esteem, self confident and help them to make their ideas and
dreams into beautiful reality

Goal: Offer training that serves as a stepping stone for youth who dream of becoming a fashion artist.

Objective: To create an environment in which youth can express their creativity through fashion arts.

Activities: Creative workshops that will teach them how to visualize. How to think outside the box,
create new ideas out of simple materials at hand, in any shape or form, can turn into a wearable work of
arts.

Pattern Making will not only teach them the importance of accurate measurements for a perfect fit, but
also learn that pattern making is a combination of basic math and geometry. They will learn about
fractions, math to calculate how many yardages they need to complete a project. Geometrical figures
play an important role in pattern making. Designers used triangles, rectangles, squares, etc to create
unique creations.

Sewing - will teach them how to get organize. Step by step from start to finish and how to create new
ideas, short cuts, to work on their project in a very short period of time without sacrificing the quality if
the their finish products.

Social Skill - will teach them how to work like a team with better understanding that everyone is special
and had their very own talent and skill. How to share them to other by exchanging ideas and techniques
that they learned from the workshop.

Leadership - It is a basic knowledge that everyone has different way of learning process, some are
quick and others are slow. That's how leadership applies to this program, quick learner will assist those
who are slow, and so we can be all the same page as the program progress in every session.

Diversity - youth with different cultural background will learn how to work together, respect each other,
by sharing ethnic differences and practices. Fashion Arts encourage the students to make their own
national costumes. Through this process they learn how to appreciate the importance of knowing who
they are and where they came from.
